The Glass Tea House
Mondrian
The Bisazza Foundation participates for the first time as a sponsor partner in the project "Glass Tea House Mondrian ", the first architectural work signed by artist Hiroshi Sugimoto for Le Stanze del Vetro at FONDANZIONE CINI, on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice. The temporary pavilion "Glass Tea House Mondrian “ will open to the public Friday, June 6, 2014 to coincide with the inauguration of the XIV Architecture Biennale. The project is spread over two main elements: an open-air landscape and pool about forty feet long completely covered in Bisazza mosaic that leads the visitor into a glass cube inside where the traditional Japanese tea ceremony will be performed regularly. The involvement in a project outside its exhibition halls in Montecchio (Vicenza) is an important opportunity for the Bisazza Foundation to interact with an international Foundation like Fondazione Cini for the promotion of this major cultural event.
