Alessandro Mendini’s Petite Cathédrale and Visage archaïque, decorated with Bisazza mosaic, featured in the “Exposition Générale” exhibition at the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain.
The Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain in Paris reopens to the public with the exhibition “Exposition Générale”, a collection of the most iconic artworks highlighting the cultural institution’s development. On show among these, the Petite Cathédrale by Alessandro Mendini, a monumental artwork, decorated with Bisazza glass mosaic.
Originally created for the 2002 exhibition “Fragilisme” at Fondation Cartier, the small architecture houses the Visage archaïque, a sculpture in Bisazza hand-cut gold mosaic tiles.
